VINAYAGAR CHATHURTHI CELEBRATION

VINAYAGAR CHATHURTHI CELEBRATION

Vinayagar Chaturthi is a significant Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor across India. At Amirta IIHMCT, the festival is observed with traditional rituals, cultural events, and various activities to engage the students and staff members.

The celebration typically begins with the installation of Lord Ganesha idols in the college premises, followed by prayers and offerings. The atmosphere is filled with devotional songs and chants, creating a spiritually uplifting environment.

One of the highlights of the Vinayagar Chaturthi celebration at Amrita IIHMCT is the Kolukattai competition. Kolukattai, also known as modak, is a sweet dumpling traditionally offered to Lord Ganesha. In this competition, students showcase their culinary skills by preparing and presenting their unique versions of Kolukattai. Judges evaluate the entries based on taste, presentation, and creativity, and winners are awarded prizes. In addition to the Kolukattai competition, various games and activities are organized to add to the festive spirit.
